Continued: 

18th December 2012

At last some improvement! The sickness caused by the Imuran is finally wearing off. I am so glad as I thought Dan was going to give up on it. We had to stop the anti-biotics after the first course as they were also making Dan really sick. His chest infection has improved and the coughing has died down. If it comes back we will just have to start them up again.
Dan did have some bad head pains last Saturday but I really think things are looking a little brighter. I am not going to build up my hopes just yet but we have to be positive.

As usual I spoke too soon. Dan has been vomiting again, even after spreading the Imuran out over the day and taking it with food. He is being so moody he can be difficult to cope with. I understand as it must be awful being so sick all the time. It looks like yesterday was a one off.
Dan is also suffering with itchy hands and feet. He cut his antihistamines from 4 to 3 a day recently so I guess they will have to go back up.
He also told me, or snapped at me, that he was still getting the usual pains and nothing had changed. We see Hilary soon so we will have to discuss this as it just cannot carry on. Life should be good for Dan right now. He is in the prime of his life, has a lovely girlfriend who is very understanding, but this illness is ruining everything.
Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
